The PBIA is a non-profit
organization operated for the benefit of its members. Recognizing
that its members compete, the PBIA strictly observes applicable anti-trust
laws.
Within these laws the PBIA intends to promote the market for
Personal Broadband.

FOUNDING MEMBERSHIP
Founding Membership entitles the member company to the following:
- Attendance at annual, general and committee meetings.
- One vote each on all PBIA issues
- Corporate sponsorship and Executive visibility for PR/IR activity
- Access to all
working documents, contributions, technical reports, and meeting
minutes
- Eligibility to run for Board of Director and Committee
officer positions
- Eligibility to submit Technical Committee and
Marketing Committee contributions
- Subscription to all PBIA
email mailing lists
**Note: The Bylaws of the PBIA bars two divisions
of the same company or any affiliates of a Founding
Member from also
being Founding
Members. Other divisions and affiliates may be Contributing
Members.
PRINCIPAL MEMBERSHIP
Principal Membership entitles the member company to
the following:
- Attendance to all annual and general meetings
- One vote each on all PBIA issues
- Access to all working documents, contributions, technical reports,
and meeting minutes
- Eligibility to submit Technical Committee and Marketing Committee
contributions
- Subscription to all PBIA email mailing lists
CONTRIBUTING MEMBERSHIP
Contributing Membership entitles the member company to the following:
- Attendance to all annual and general (i.e., Summit and Plenary)
meetings
- Access to all working documents, contributions,
technical reports and meeting minutes
- Subscription to all PBIA email mailing lists
**Note: Contributing members may NOT attend
committee meetings (i.e., Technial and Marketing Working Group
meetings) of the PBIA
and are NOT eligible to submit Technical Committee or Marketing
Committee
contributions.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Associate Members must be not for profit or educational institutions.
Institutions will be approved for membership annually by a majority
vote of the Board of Directors.
Membership entitles the member company to the following:
- Attendance
to all annual, general and committee meetings
(but not eligible to vote)
- Access to all working documents, contributions, technical reports
and meeting minutes
- Subscription to all PBIA email mailing lists
